Matthew Kwasman is an associate at Nason Yeager. Mr. Kwasman’s practice involves complex business, corporate and real estate transactional matters. He has extensive experience representing purchasers and sellers of properties, businesses and entities, as well as landlords, tenants, easement holders, borrowers and lenders, all in a broad range of residential and commercial settings. Mr. Kwasman is also adept at preparing and negotiating business and corporate contracts.
Before joining the Firm, Mr. Kwasman was a supervising attorney at the American Tower Corporation, where his practice focused on protecting the legal affairs of ATC, the largest telecommunication tower operator in the United States. While at ATC, he supervised a team of lawyers tasked with acquiring and preserving the company’s ground, tower and rooftop assets. He prepared, reviewed and approved a wide variety of agreements including but not limited to: purchase and sale agreements; deeds; easement agreements; subordination, non-disturbance and attornment agreements; commercial ground leases; and revenue share agreements.
Earlier in his legal career, Mr. Kwasman litigated business, real estate, and condominium-related matters in Florida’s state and Federal Courts. Before attending law school, Mr. Kwasman worked for Deutsche Bank Securities in its New York City office.
He graduated magna cum laude from the St. Thomas University School of Law in Miami Gardens. At STU, Mr. Kwasman was an Articles Editor for the St. Thomas Law Review, and he earned Book Awards in Constitutional Law and Florida Constitutional Law. In 2001, he graduated cum laude from Hofstra University with a B.B.A. in International Business. At Hofstra, he was a Division 1 scholarship athlete on the men’s baseball team and was an America East All Conference Academic Team selection.
