Brian A. Bolves joins Nason Yeager Gerson, Harris & Fumero, P.A.’s Environmental, Governmental & Land Use practice group, where he focuses his practice on eminent domain, property rights, environmental litigation, and the development of major public works and energy infrastructure projects.

Mr. Bolves is widely recognized for his extensive experience representing condemning authorities in eminent domain and infrastructure-related matters throughout Florida and across the United States. Over the course of his career, he has overseen the acquisition of thousands of parcels for public infrastructure and energy projects, including more than twenty interstate pipeline projects nationwide. His experience includes all phases of project development, including due diligence, route selection, budgeting, scheduling, land acquisition, and litigation.

In addition to his eminent domain practice, Mr. Bolves regularly advises local governments, utilities, and private entities on matters involving public works development and asset protection. His work includes negotiating and preparing easements, leases, co-location agreements, utility relocation agreements, right-of-way use permits, and other property-related agreements essential to infrastructure development and operations. He also represents clients in matters involving inverse condemnation, regulatory takings, Bert Harris Act claims, ejectment actions, quiet title litigation, and disputes involving riparian rights and submerged lands.

Mr. Bolves also has significant experience in environmental and administrative law matters. He has served as lead counsel in more than fifty administrative hearings before the Florida Division of Administrative Hearings and regularly represents clients in permitting disputes and litigation involving local, state, and federal environmental regulations, as well as governmental agency actions affecting land use and development approvals. Mr. Bolves has served as lead counsel in dozens of complex jury and non-jury trials, as well as administrative proceedings involving a broad range of property rights and environmental matters.

He earned his Juris Doctor from Stetson University College of Law and his Bachelor of Science, magna cum laude, from the University of Central Florida. Mr. Bolves is admitted to practice before the Supreme Court of the United States, the Supreme Court of Florida, and the United States District Courts for the Southern, Middle, and Northern Districts of Florida. He has also appeared pro hac vice in state and federal courts in Arizona, Alabama, and New Mexico.
