Sam Houston is a dedicated member of the corporate practice group at Nason Yeager. His practice focuses on business and taxation, providing comprehensive legal support to both for-profit and non-profit organizations. Mr. Houston assists clients in forming new businesses, selling existing ones, advising on partnership arrangements, drafting contracts, and guiding clients through merger and acquisition matters. He helps clients navigate complex tax matters including income tax disputes, tax planning, and establishing or reinstating tax-exempt entities such as a 501(c)(3) entities.
Mr. Houston regularly drafts and negotiates purchase and sale agreements, partnership agreements, shareholder agreements, operating or company agreements, independent contractor agreements, and service agreements.
Mr. Houston has extensive experience in the digital and/or affilaite marketing industry which enables him to skillfully draft, review, and negotiate marketing agreements such as Publisher Agreements, Affiliate Agreements, Network Agreements, Advertiser Agreements, Referral Agreements, Media Buyer Agreements, Master Service Agreements, and Terms and Conditions for lead generation and lead development services/software.
Mr. Houston enjoys working with small businesses and their owners. Outside of work, Sam enjoys traveling, visiting friends and family, and surfing. In 2014, he competed and won the Super Middleweight United Intercollegiate Boxing National Championship for FSU, and although no longer competing, he still enjoys training when he can. Mr. Houston is also passionate about giving back to the community and is a Board Member in several nonprofit organizations.
