Kathryn A. Oleksy is an associate attorney at Nason Yeager where she is a member of the Marital and Family Law practice group. Ms. Oleksy brings nearly three decades of experience in domestic violence advocacy, family law litigation, and grant management and compliance. She has a long-standing record of developing and leading impactful legal programs, as well as providing strategic counsel and representation in complex injunction and family-related matters.
Prior to joining Nason Yeager, Ms. Oleksy served as Supervising Attorney for the Domestic Violence Project (DVP) and the Injunction Initiation Project (IIP) at the Legal Aid Society of Palm Beach County. In this role, she oversaw high-volume caseloads of injunction matters involving domestic, dating, sexual, and repeat violence, as well as stalking. She supervised attorneys and paralegals, provided ongoing legal training, and collaborated with community stakeholders, law enforcement, and advocacy organizations to enhance legal services for victims. She created and implemented Legal Aid Society’s Injunction Initiation Project to expand access to legal guidance for pro se litigants seeking protective injunctions.
In addition to her litigation experience, Ms. Oleksy has extensive experience in grant management and compliance. Most recently, she served as Grant Management and Compliance Coordinator at the Legal Aid Society of Palm Beach County. She developed and implemented compliance procedures, monitored grant performance, and ensured adherence to federal and state funding requirements. Her work included training staff, overseeing audits, and improving data collection systems to enhance program effectiveness.
Ms. Oleksy began her career as a Staff Attorney in the Domestic Violence Project of Legal Aid Society of Palm Beach County where she worked prosecuting injunction contempt on a pilot project in partnership with the office of the State Attorney.
She is actively engaged in the legal community and has held leadership roles on several multidisciplinary teams addressing domestic violence, stalking and sexual assault in Palm Beach County.
Ms. Oleksy earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Miami School of Law and her Bachelor of Arts in History, with a minor in Spanish, from Indiana University. She is a proud Hoosier and a supporter of Indiana University athletics.
