Our dear friend and colleague Domenick R. Lioce passed away on March 10, 2016. The Florida Bar Tax Section, the American Association of Attorney/CPAs, Nason, Yeager, Gerson, White & Lioce, P.A., the Palm Beach Tax Institute and Florida State University’s College of Law have joined together to create a scholarship fund in his honor.
Nick was a Past President of the Florida Bar Tax Section, the Palm Beach Tax Institute and the American Association of Attorney/CPAs. He was a tax partner with the Nason, Yeager, Gerson, White & Lioce law firm of Palm Beach Gardens, Florida and was a graduate of the accounting program and law school at Florida State University.
These groups with the assistance of Jeanne Curtin, the Assistant Dean for Development at the Florida State University College of Law, have created the Domenick R. Lioce Scholarship Fund.
Nason, Yeager, Gerson, White and Lioce, P.A. has made an initial gift of $12,500 to the Domenick R. Lioce Scholarship Fund in honor of their partner of 25 years.
Nick loved being the lead singer of Nick-a-Rockwa and the Contraband, but he also loved and had a passion for the practice of tax law, mentoring and lecturing to young tax lawyers and accountants, and encouraging all the CPA/Lawyers he knew to become members of the American Association of Attorney-CPAs.
To all of his friends and colleagues, Nick was a larger than life person who is greatly missed. We all know that Nick would be thrilled to have a scholarship fund at the FSU College of Law in his honor to assist law students who have outstanding academic credentials, earned an undergraduate degree in accounting and are interested in having a career in tax law. We have lost a great friend and the life of the party who can never be replaced, but we can all remember him and honor his memory by supporting this scholarship fund.
To make an online gift to Nick’s scholarship visit the FSU Foundation website by clicking here, and search for the fund name: Domenick R. Lioce Scholarship, Fund F08386.
Gifts may also be made by check. Checks should be written to:
