Nason Yeager Gerson Harris & Fumero, P.A. shareholder John Fumero has been reappointed to the Florida TaxWatch Board of Trustees for a new three-year term spanning fiscal years 2025-2026 through 2027-2028, reaffirming his long-standing commitment to promoting government accountability and taxpayer advocacy throughout the state.
Florida TaxWatch, now in its 46th year, is the state’s only nonpartisan, independent watchdog organization dedicated to improving the productivity and accountability of Florida government. Through research and analysis, the organization provides policymakers and citizens with data-driven insights into fiscal policy and its impact on residents and businesses statewide.
An attorney practicing governmental and environmental law throughout Florida, Fumero has been involved with Florida TaxWatch since 2001 and has served on its Board of Trustees since 2007. He is Board Certified by The Florida Bar in State and Federal Government and Administrative Practice and is recognized as a Florida Supreme Court-Certified Mediator.
For more than three decades, Fumero has represented public and private sector clients in matters involving governmental regulation, environmental law, and land use. His experience includes serving as General Counsel to the South Florida Water Management District. His practice encompasses environmental permitting, governmental affairs, public/private partnerships, zoning and land use, property rights, and related litigation in administrative, state, and federal courts.
