Nason Yeager shareholder John Fumero has been appointed to the Board of Directors of the Palm Beach County Food Bank (PBCFB). Fumero joins other community and business leaders on the board working toward a healthy and food-secure Palm Beach County.
The PBCFB has been addressing hunger issues across Palm Beach County since 2012 and has been especially active helping the community during the COVID-19 pandemic. The food bank typically distributes 5 million pounds of food each year, but this May alone the PBCFB gave out 1.5 million pounds of food.
The organization is busier than ever and nearing completion of a “Grow with Us” capital campaign to move to a new 28,000-square foot building. This up-to-date facility will help increase distribution countywide.
“I am looking forward to being to a part of this amazing organization at a time of both tremendous need and growth,” Fumero said. “There is no reason for any family in our community to go hungry so I am proud to join the PBCFB team.”
