Nason Yeager partner Susan Martin has been elected to the Florida state chapter of the Association of Environmental Professionals (FAEP). She will be working as the At Large Director for the FAEP’s Board of Directors.
Martin is an expert environmental and land-use attorney. She is board certified in State and Federal Government and Administrative Practice by the Florida Bar, and has practiced law for over 35 years, formerly as a Practice Expert Attorney with the South Florida Water Management District and earlier as a corporate attorney and Congressional Lobbyist with Florida Power and Light Company.
Martin has handled a wide range of environmental issues during her career, including permitting and permit challenges, enforcement, mitigation banks, litigation, mediation, congressional lobbying, and appeals. She participated in the drafting and adoption of environmental resource permit rules, including those pertaining to water quality, quantity and mitigation utilized by the Department of Environmental Protection and the state’s water management districts in granting environmental resource permits.
FAEP is a multidisciplinary professional association of Environmental Professionals from a variety of disciplines including: biologists, scientists, geologists, environmental engineers, environmental attorneys, wetland scientists, botanists, planners, and many other disciplines that perform environmental work.
Martin has spoken at the state FAEP annual conference and also chapter webinar. She has been an active member of the Treasure Coast FAEP chapter and has joined the Tampa Bay FAEP chapter.
