Susan R. Martin named to Florida Trend’s Legal Elite Notable Women Leaders in Law
Nason Yeager partner Susan R. Martin was named to Florida Trend’s Legal Elite 2023 Notable Women Leaders in Law, which showcases those who mentor or act as role models for others and show leadership in professional organizations and in civic and community service initiatives.
Ms. Martin is board certified in State and Federal Government and Administrative Practice by the Florida Bar, and has practiced law for over 35 years, formerly as a Practice Expert Attorney with the South Florida Water Management District and earlier as a corporate attorney and Congressional Lobbyist with Florida Power and Light Company.
She has handled a wide range of environmental issues including permitting and permit challenges, enforcement, mitigation banks, litigation, mediation, congressional lobbying, and appeals. She participated in the drafting and adoption of environmental resource permit rules, including those pertaining to water quality, quantity and mitigation utilized by the Department of Environmental Protection and the state’s water management districts in granting environmental resource permits.
