Megan E. Norris Grant is an attorney at Nason Yeager, where she is a member of the corporate department, focusing on general corporate law, including commercial entities and exempt organization law. Ms. Grant advises businesses and nonprofit organizations on corporate governance, compliance, and regulatory matters, including helping nonprofits navigate the complexities of formation, tax-exempt status, and operational structuring.
Prior to joining Nason Yeager, Ms. Grant gained experience as an associate attorney, where she drafted tax documents, conducted legal research, and assisted clients with estate planning and probate matters. She also served as a judicial law clerk for the Honorable Judge Bronwyn C. Miller in Florida’s Third District Court of Appeal, where she managed a docket of civil and criminal appellate cases, conducted extensive legal research, and drafted memoranda and opinions.
Ms. Grant earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Miami (UM) School of Law and continued her legal education by obtaining an LL.M. from the prestigious Heckerling Graduate Program at UM. She completed her undergraduate studies at Emory University, earning dual Bachelor of Arts degrees in Political Science and Psychology. Additionally, she is a member of The Florida Bar.
During law school, Ms. Grant held several legal internships with firms, including Jones Foster and The Saade Law Firm, P.A. She also interned with Robert F. Kennedy Human Rights and served as a Summer Public Interest Fellow with the HOPE Office at the UM School of Law. In addition, she served as Editor-in-Chief of the UM School of Law’s Business Law Review and published “Now Streaming: How Streaming Services Are Following in the Footsteps of Hollywood’s Golden Age” in the journal’s Volume 31, Issue 1. Before attending law school, she worked as a corporate immigration paralegal for two years at Fragomen Worldwide.
Outside of her legal practice, Ms. Grant enjoys playing tennis, competing in triathlons, scuba diving, and volunteering with local nonprofit organizations. She also loves spending time at the beach and going on long walks with her husky.
