Ed Schauder was recently quoted in the Sports Business Journal regarding a ruling from the U.S. District Court of the Southern District of N.Y. that supports Panini’s claim that Fanatics conspired to control the trading-card market in violation of antitrust law.
“Damages aren’t clear yet,” said Schauder, who has done numerous trading card deals for the Yogi Berra and Josh Gibson estates. “This gives Panini a bit more leverage, but I continue to believe that this will end with Fanatics acquiring Panini.”
