John Fumero and Susan Roeder Martin Attend the Annual Florida Association of Mitigation Bankers Conference
Attorneys Susan Roeder Martin and John Fumero recently attended the Annual Florida Association of Mitigation Bankers (FAMB) conference in Jacksonville.
Senior officials from the United States Army Corps of Engineers and Florida’s Water Management District were in attendance along with engineers, geologist planners and owners/operators of mitigation banks. The firms Government, Environmental and Land Use group represents numerous Mitigation Bank Projects throughout the state of Florida.
Both Susan and John have been involved in mitigation banking for over 25 years and were involved in the initial legislation and development of agency regulations regrading the mitigation bank industry.
Susan spoke about the development of new legislation creating water quality banking in Florida to address long-standing issues with water quality permitting requirements.
FAMB represents the private entrepreneurs and mitigation bank sponsors who restore Florida’s valuable natural resources when there are unavoidable impacts from development. There are over 100 permitted mitigation banks in the state of Florida. Mitigation banking streamlines project permitting and infrastructure development.
